Firstly, welcome to the 2023 season and make sure you are registered for our first virtual parkrun on Saturday 15 April. Nothing much changes in 2023, parkruns will continue to have an adjustment for difficulty and the overall VCCL handicapping system remains the same this year. We are no longer running in the AV events with VCCL prizemoney attached, but we will still record a result of all participants on the website, including relative to their handicap. Those running AV and not at their handicap level will be open to lifts, so they are more competitive when they compete in a virtual parkrun or at Westgate later in the year. Given no prizemoney, there are no penalties if running at or below your handicap in AV events - this level of performance is encouraged for the benefit of our AV teams!.
